This week as we have all been focusing on our Lord's Death and Blessed Resurrection, I cannot help but be so thankful for what He did! Christ gave up his life for me! I was on his mind! He suffered an unimaginable death for me! Endured torture like we have never seen for me! Was forsaken by his Father for me!
Can I really every comprehend the magnitude of love that poured out of this man, this son of God for me?! Have I ever really understood that love?!
THANK YOU JESUS!
THANK YOU FATHER!
Luke 23: 44-46
It was now about the sixth hour (midday), and darkness enveloped the whole land and earth until the ninth hour (about three o'clock in the afternoon),
While the sun's light faded or was darkened; and the curtain [of the Holy of Holies] of the temple was torn in two.
And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit! And with these words, He expired.

Luke 24:1-8
BUT ON the first day of the week, at early dawn, [the women] went to the tomb, taking the spices which they had made ready.
2And they found the stone rolled back from the tomb,
3But when they went inside, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
4And while they were perplexed and wondering what to do about this, behold, two men in dazzling raiment suddenly stood beside them.
5And as [the women] were frightened and were bowing their faces to the ground, the men said to them, Why do you look for the living among [those who are] dead?
6He is not here, but has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee
7That the Son of Man must be given over into the hands of sinful men (men whose way or nature is to act in opposition to God) and be crucified and on the third day rise [from death].
8And they remembered His words.

So much to be Thankful for! May you all have a blessed Easter, remembering how Christ died for you!

It never ceases to amaze me what the dear Lord gave up for us! That He should do this for someone as insignificant as myself.....well, what can I say?

Great post, thanks for reminding us what it's really about.
Amen to that, Kim. Yes - the wonderful news of His resurrection is the best reason to be thankful for. Although sometimes I still stand in amazement that He died for my sins...
