Yes - I remember praying that one. When my kids were little we taught them this newer, less scary version. Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord, my Soul to keep. Guard and watch me through the night, And, wake me in the morning light.
I have to tell you ... when my daughter was around 3 years old.. I said, I guess for the first time..."Don't let the bed bugs bite."... and she came flying out of the bed....I couldn't figure out what was happening.. and she started yelling "bugs,, momma, bugs"..
I started laughing so hard, I rolled off her bed...
well, guess where she slept that night.. and a few nights after that..
so, yes,, a lot of truth to this.
it brought back wonderful memories....
I would have made millions if I had a camera that night..
Oh good. I needed a laugh. I've seen his video on the misconceptions of a homeschooling family. I'll have to check our Lisa's blog and see the other comedy clips, too.
That is a funny video of that version. I was reading what Mari said to you and I like that version. I will have to check out this God Tube. Never knew there was such a thing.

That is so hilarious! That was my bedtime prayer, and I remember hating the part where it said "if I should die before I wake"!
