Thankful Thursday!

I love Iris' theme over at her blog this week "DANCING!" Dancing before the Lord! It made me think of the verses God gave me a couple of years ago when I was really struggling with looking at myself negatively. It is:
Zephaniah 3: 14-17
Sing, O Daughter of Zion;
shout aloud, O Israel!
Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,
O Daughter of Jerusalem!
15 The LORD has taken away your punishment,
he has turned back your enemy.
The LORD, the King of Israel, is with you;
never again will you fear any harm.
16 On that day they will say to Jerusalem,
"Do not fear, O Zion;
do not let your hands hang limp.
17 The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing."
There is so much to be thankful for this week:
  • For the celebration of Christ's resurrection last week! Friday night was a great service. Thanks to those of you who prayed for me speaking! I felt such peace before and while I was up there! I was also able to ward off satans attacks of it won't be good, your not prepared, your not going to make any since, etc... What a great reminder to us all of what he took on himself (our sin) and what was given to us through his death and resurrection (perfection in God's eyes). Thank you Jesus!
  • Both Bekah and my test results came back O.K. My Peanut is just a peanut. I have been told by my mom and my sister Judy that Bekah's great-great grandma Minni Molly (don't you love that name!) was only 4'9", and let's face it I'm a little height challenged myself! My Echo Stress test came back normal. So apparently my issues are from being overweight and out of shape! (Which of course I am working on!)
  • Frankly I'm thankful yesterday is over! Jeremiah had an issue at school yesterday! We have not had one of these in a while so that is a praise, but it is always hard when they pop up. I am praising God that they have been few and far between.
  • I was visiting my mom in the hospital when I got the call, and I was amazed at really how calm I remained! That is a true testament of God's peace in any situation! Even when things aren't good, you can still feel peace!
  • Speaking of my mom, I'm thankful she is in the hospital! She has very bad "bugs" as the doctor is saying, and her lungs are really bad. He says he can't cure her, but will help as much as he can. She was breathing better yesterday so that is a plus! I know God can heal her, I just don't know how he will do it, but I trust him, and he knows best! I just want to make the most of the time I have left with her!
  • Thankful for the signs of Spring! I so need that warmer weather!

Thanks so much for coming by, go to Iris at Sting my heart to read about other thankful ladies!

Wow! What faith you have about your mom. I love it that her being in the hospital is a praise for you. That's very inspirational.

It's funny we both live in Michigan and are rejoicing about the "signs of spring." Those in the south that have mild winters just can't understand what praises March and April bring to those of who have been frozen all winter!!

Have a great week!!

Happy TT Kim!

So blessed things went well for you as you spoke.

I will be praying for your mom? I'm sorry she is struggling. My mother also had lung problems as well. I know how difficult this is...

Blessings to you and your family♥

Thanks SO MUCH for stopping by and leaving those encouraging words. We're thinking that the adoption will be FINAL this afternoon. There have been some holdups by the hospital, but they're getting her out NOW! I hope to update again soon.

I enjoyed your TT post. It's great to see someone praising HIM even when times get tough.

It's not so bad being a little peanut. I'm one myself. HA :)

Well it's great that the tests came back OK. Isn't that a relief? It's nice what you said about your mom - wanting to make the most of your time left with her. My mom lives so far away and I don't feel like I am doing that.

That is wonderful that your test results came back normal :) There a lot of people who are/were challenged in their height (it is even said that Paul was not tall in statue) but have archived great things with His help :)
I am glad to read that your mom is comfortable and can breathe better.

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this past week.

Blessings to you and yours.
