A couple of things.....

So I've been on my bloggy break and trying to decide whether I should return and in what form. I think in a way that even the thought is very silly, because what am I thinking this blog this is anyway! I desire to blog, and I know that most of the time I have thoughts I need to get out, hence my initial post here, but why am I really blogging and what am I expecting from it? You see I have issues with "insert confession here" needing to be liked and accepted. None of you have that problem do you?! Well I began to notice that I was looking more at the comments or lack there of, then just getting what was on my mind out or showing others what God was teaching me. That is wrong, and I don't like it, so I have stopped. Another issue I had with blogging is time. I need to prioritize my time and not let it consume my day. So that being said, I am going to ask a selfish thing here. I am asking that you pray concerning whether I should return to blogging and in what form. I will be praying the same thing on my end. I want it to all be for God's glory and now my own, and if I can encourage anyone along the way, so be it!!! Thank you for your prayers!

One more thing that has been on my mind this morning. What are your thoughts on this question:

Are we still a Christian nation?

Hey Kim! Just stopped by to say THANKS for the award! I haven't had time to get it but I will very soon. I love your new look. I enjoy visiting your place and hope you continue to blog. Hi Kim! I hope you continue your blog and not comments, lack of comments, counters, and all the other stuff get in the way of you getting your thoughts out.

As for your question...no...we aren't a Christian nation. We're in a post Christian era. When we have a president that uses religion but doesn't acknowledge the saving grace of Jesus, when elected officials use offices to advance non-Christian agendsas, and when being a Christian is a "bad label" in Congress...we cease to be a Christian Nation. That doesn't mean we can't become one again...but right now? that's a no!

I think that we have all been just where you are at this point. We just have to realize that for whatever reason God laid on our hearts to blog, we just have to remain obedient.

My main goal is to bring glory to my God & we all know that we need more of that in this world!

As long as you are keeping centered on Him and blogging isn't taking place of time spent in the word (it should be enhancing that time as we study!) then you are doing just what you should do.

I enjoy your posts. We just have to keep our priorities straight.

Are we a christian nation? I certainly hope that most of us are, but we are slowly inching the other way.

Pray pray pray!!

Alright - I will pray about this, but selfishly I sure hope the answer is Yes!
I'm sorry to say that I don't think we are a Christian nation. I think there are lots of Christians who live here, but the laws and the current status of our country leads me to say that the country itself is not.
