I'm really haven't been in the mood to blog lately! Frankly I haven't been in the mood to do much but have a pity party! But alas God continues to bless in different ways even in my down times! One of those happened just yesterday (well make that two)! I didn't blog on Thursday or this weekend because we left for Silver Lake on Thursday to camp with Steve's sisters and their families. The weekend went well with a couple of bumps, one being Steve losing his cell phone somewhere near the go cart tracks! Quite the bummer there!
Anyway we were staying at Jellystone Park and they always have Sunday services. We go most of the time. It's usually really interesting, and makes you miss your own church, but yesterday was different. They had a praise band there called "Rock Star Youth". They laid the praise time and them the leader introduced his 14 year old daughter to give a short message! I was like OOO... KKK..., but you know what, God used that 14 year old girls with all her 14 year old ways of talking to tell me something I needed to hear. She spoke out of Numbers 13, where the Israelites were scoping out the land of Israel and there were giants there. Well most of you know the story. There were about 10 men who said, "there is no way we can defeat them, they are GIANTS!", and there was 1 man - Caleb - who the bible said "Silenced the people", and told them they could take it! She went on to say how we all have giants in our lives that we need to face up to, and not be defeated by! Oh boy did that hit me! I will tell you right now I feel like I have a big ole giant staring me down, and I have to admit that I have run for cover, and still want to stay hidden for awhile. I have to keep reminding myself that God is bigger then any giant I could ever face! Sometimes I feel I have to say that over, and over, and over again until I get it through my thick skull!!! That was blessing #1!
Blessing #2 came on the way home. We had just gotten on the highway near Hart, when a van pulled beside us and told us our water heater vent was open. When we were slowing down Steve noticed that the trucks brakes were bad. When we finally got stopped, he showed me that a brake hose had sprung a leak and we had no brakes! We we stood there for a little bit and prayed about the situation. We got back in the truck to move it over to the side of the road more because we were planning to leave it there, when Steve tried the trailer brakes to see if they would help. They could stop us so he decided to try make it home (about 55 miles) with the trailer brakes! Praise God no one cut us off, or got in front of us quickly from an on ramp. Steve took it slowly and we made it home, with angels all around!
I also have a great picture for wordless wednesday!
Have a great day!

Glad you had a good weekend - I love when God gives us those messages we aren't expecting! Can't wait to see that picture!
Sounds like that little girl was a real blessing! I too have had some big giants staring down at me the last few weeks and sounds like she had a great lesson.
So glad you were able to make it home safely.
I love how God works! The message at our church yesterday morning was about "being still". I know that you have been focusing on waiting on God this year and I thought that was pretty amazing how it's coming up so often throughout the year! God delivers us so many times EVERY DAY!! He loves you Kim and He hurts when you hurt and He smiles when you smile! I love you too and pray for you so often! :)
What wonderful praise stories.
Praise God for your safe return home.
God works in great ways that we don't expect. Just kinda slap us in the face with reality sometimes.
