Today I turn "45"!!!!

45! Did you hear that! 45!!!!!

I don't feel 45! I still see myself as a young person! I'm sure the young ladies are having a good laugh over that! One thing that really blows my mind is that I am the age now that my girlfriend's parents were, when we were in high school! Again I don't feel that old! I am trying to come up with some wise words today because it just seems like I should have some! Hummm.....maybe if I ponder it awhile, but then again I lose thoughts pretty fast anymore, so that may not be a good idea!

The Lord has blessed me beyond measure and I look forward to serving him the rest of my life! I have struggled with alot of insecurity issues all my life, and I continue to need to lean on him for instruction and comfort. Here are just a few portions of scriptures that God has used in my life to help me know what he thinks of me:

2 Samuel 22: 17-20

"He sent from on high, he took me;
he drew me out of many waters.
18He rescued me from my strong enemy,
from those who hated me,
for they were too mighty for me.
19They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
but the LORD was my support.
20 He brought me out into a broad place;
he rescued me, because he delighted in me.

(This is also found in Psalms 18:16-19)

Zephaniah 3:14-17

Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion;
shout, O Israel!
Rejoice and exult with all your heart,
O daughter of Jerusalem!
The LORD has taken away the judgments against you;
he has cleared away your enemies.
The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst;
you shall never again fear evil.
On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:"Fear not, O Zion;
let not your hands grow weak.
The LORD your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.

He has shown me that He is my Stronghold (Psalms 18:1-3)

He is my Shield (Psalms 5:11 & 12)

He is my Salvation (Psalms 27:1)

He is my Sustainer (Isaiah 46:3&4)

He is my Hope (Psalms 25:2-4)

He is my King (Rev 19:16)

He is so much more to me, but I have to go to work now! Have a blessed day you all!

Kim,

First off - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!

I completely understand about not feeling your age. I turned 47 a few weeks ago and even though I have 5 sweet grandyoungins, I don't feel a day older than the day I married my sweet fella.

I just love your blog here. Great header!! Did you do that yourself? I have always thought it was beautiful.

I pray many many blessings upon you on this special day.

Happy Birthday. You know with so many siblings it's possible that your parents forgot the birth order and you are really a lot younger. Wink!
Smiles!

p.s.-You are not old-- look at Methuselah. This is what I began telling myself since I pasted your age--rofl! We are young "chicks" compared to him :)It is all in your perspective.

Happy birthday, Kim. I thought you were around 40-41 (honestly).
Believe me, you are young. I turned 71 this year, now that's old. You have some beautiful and fitting scripture to prove what God thinks of you and his people.
God bless you with many more birthdays and much happiness.

Happy Birthday from one 45 year old to another. Except that I'm gearing up to pass you by real fast. I don't feel a day over 30, except in the morning when I have to bend slowly one way then the other to get my back in line for the day.

You're only as old as you feel. That's what my mother always says.
