Living Well Wednesday!

Welcome to another installment of my Living Well Journey! I am feeling pretty good this week about my choices. I have taken small steps that I feel good about! I have added more water into my day! I know that is important! I have to constantly remind myself to drink it though. My two favorite drinks in the world are my coffee from Speedway (which includes a top off of cappuccino) and my fountain pops! This past week I have limited both of these! Boy it is hard because I enjoy them so much!

Steve and I haven't been walking lately, and I must admit I use him as an excuse not to. I know "bad me". He wants me to check out the local Contours. I used to go to the Curves here in town, and really don't want to go back to that, but Steve's company pays for half and I do need to be held accountable. When money is involved that is my accountability. So one of these weeks you may hear about me joining! One of these weeks!

Yesterday I was writing 2 Corinthians 10:5 in my Journal and as I continued to read I found these verses that inspired me, maybe they will do this same for you:

2 Corinthians 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

2 Corinthians 10:6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

These verses show me the power that is mine in Christ Jesus! Keeping my focus on him and not my situations! Also it shows me never read a verse out of context! Always read what comes before and after to give you the full meaning!

Have a great week ladies! Find more support at CWO - Living Well!

Great verses my friend. I know this is not an easy journey, but it is so worth taking.

Sounds like you're on top of things. Thanks for visiting. And if your hubby is like mine, he probably needs to walk too. Mine does sometimes at work but not regular enough.

I struggle with the water too. I'm just not thirsty- so it's a struggle to get that down.
Those were great verses.

That's great that you've made the choice to drink more water. I should do that too, but I usually end up brewing a pot of coffee or drinking Kool-Aid out of one of the kid's cups. I've run out of excuses for not being able to walk. I have 4 girls that beg me to go walking every day. They keep me going and it's hard to keep up with them, but I feel better for doing it. It's only a 20 min. walk, but it's better than nothing. And since I've been used to nothing for many, many years 20 min. is a big deal to me. Tomorrow, I'm going to wear my son's pedometer and see if I'm anywhere near 10,000 steps a day. (I'm going to be so discouraged if it's only a couple of thousand steps.)I can't believe that I've gotten so out of shape. I'll try adding in more water, too.

You know, that first verse has been popping up on the blogosphere a lot lately it seems. Hmmmmm, maybe Someone's trying to get a message through this thick head of mine!

It's so easy to find excuses not to walk, isn't it? I know. I was doing so well, but now that hubby's working kinda wonky hours (never a specific start time in the morning and then he works 12-14 hours), I find it difficult. If I'm still awake when he gets home, I feel like I should stay up and chat with him, but then I can't get up in time the next morning to get in a 2-mile walk before he needs to leave..... you can see where this is going!

Let's just DO IT! It makes us feel better, it's good 'me time,' and it's good FOR us!!! All the best this coming week!

I too love the coffee and fountain drinks from Speedway. I find the best way fo rme to drink water is to bring a bottle in the car with me while I drive- that way I am trapped in the car with the water. You are doing really well, though. Hang in there- keep it up! Great verses.
