Thankful Thursday!

Short and sweet this week. I am thankful for God's word and his timing! This morning has not been a good morning for several reasons! I just had a very hard conversation with a couple of people, and have to admit my anger was showing in a most unattractive way! The conversation ended, I turned to my computer and this was the verse that was staring me in the face:

Philippians 1:27
Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worth of the gospel of Christ.

I was just disciplined by my Father, and need to say how thankful I am that he love's me enough!

God always knows best, doesn't He! I just prayed this morning that the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart would be of Christ.

None of us are perfect or even close. I love it that your post is so like the rest of us. It isn't all just praise, praise, praise and so not real. Living a life lead by the Holy Spirit is a constant battle with the old nature. Tell it like it is. . . . . you go girl! Bless you! You made my day!

Oh, I heard this this morning. You will laugh.

As much as spiritual spankings hurt, how much does our Father love us! It's so true...you should see me post from yesterday..looks like we suffered from the same syndrome! haha

Beautiful post! Blessings to you, dear sister!

God has a way of stinging our heart sometimes, doesn't He? Thank you, Lord for that.

Have a blessed weekend.

Thanks for sharing your heart. God does discipline each of us when we need it and I am so grate ful for that today. It helps me to stay on the right track when I need corrected.

Blessings to you.

I call those "gentle scripture spankins". I have had my share of those too. What a blessing that the God of the universe spoke specifically to you. When I started my job last year, that was the very same verse that he gave me. I think of it almost every time I am at work.

I am a Christian, it's to be seen more than heard.

Oh, thank you for this reminder. I pray your day gets better.
